Yea so liiiiiike…these are just your tried and true rice krispies treats with, ya know, cake mix in them.
Like, out-of-a-box-delicious-Funfetti-cake mix.
Who on God’s green earth doesn’t love Funfetti?!
And if it’s YOU… pipe down.
Anytime I take a bite of Funfetti cake, I wonder why I ever bother to bake from scratch.
Are you nodding your head in agreement?
I knew it!
So I mean, now that I’ve went there and simply added a scoop of my favorite cake mix evah to rice krispies treats, I’m sitting here thinking “man, why didn’t I think of this?!” and simultaneously racking my brain for other foods to which I can add 1/3 cup of Funfetti cake mix to make it taste like an incredible birthday cake type treat.
I’m all like, “funfetti coffee!” No… “Funfetti cereal!” No… “I’ll sprinkle it on my strawberries!” No again… “Funfetti water! YES! Wait, no… gross. These ideas are all terrible. Just stick with the rice krispies!”
These almost didn’t make it to the blog because Lloyd started yelling at me to share with him as soon as he saw I took a little corner piece.
Through my first bite of ecstasy, I barked, “I need to take pictures for the blog!”
Which was true, but I also sort of didn’t want to share them. And Lloyd claims to “not really like marshmallow things.” Ummmm, rice krispies are kind of “marshmallow things.” Or so he says everytime I make treats like like s’mores cookies or s’mores bars.
And then someone always ends up helping himself to one or seven, regardless.
But what do I know, right?
“I just want one. I need to try it… for the blog.” Lloyd claimed.
I reminded him that he “doesn’t really like marshmallow things” as I cut him a tiny sliver anyway. You know where this is going, right?
It turns out that Lloyd does “really like marshmallow things.” So much so that we kept cutting off more and more pieces until just the middle of the small pan was left. I finally put the kibosh on the “just ooooooone more bite” thing we had going on because as I reminded him, “I need to take pictures for the blog.”
And the moral of the story here folks, is that I’m right.
Lloyd really does like marshmallow things.
